Are you looking for some ideas on making quilted shower curtain? Well you have come to the right place. I have put together this post to help someone like you.

I will quickly go through a few ideas that you can incorporate and some much needed information that you need to know before you start on this project.This is why I invite you to read right to the very end and you will be realise how useful this post is.

You may have tried hard to find what you are looking for in stores to no avail – hence the decision to do it yourself. For example you may be considering purple fabric shower curtain or crescent hookless shower curtains {blended|accentuated|beautifully combined} with an assortment of beautiful colors but it’s not easy getting what you want because your local bathroom store doesn’t sell them. This is where DIY comes to play.

Below are some few pointers to get you started.

In order to make it lighter do not put any batting in it.

One of the most important prerequisites of a shower curtain is water proofing – so be careful with your stitching.

You can also make only a quilt top and a plastic curtain for a lining. You can just saw the quilts at the top and then find some nice rivets to use.

As highlighted earlier sawing the quilt on to the lining can cause it to leak, which makes it better to simply sew at the top. Unless you have other methods to minimise the leakage.

If you choose to go with the quilted top idea you would need to use a backing to hide the seams.

Instead of sewing the quilt to the plastic liner you can make the buttonholes across the top of the hooks. This will leave you with an option to wash the liner easily and separately. You can even throw it away when it wears out without losing the quilt.
